WHAT TO SEE

Expect to see herds of buffalo, elephants, zebras, Impalas, gazelles, giraffes, lions, and if lucky also leopards and Cheetahs. Birds, small mammals, and Baobab trees are among other attractions found within Tarangire National Park.

In Ngorongoro enjoy a large number of African cape buffalo, giant elephants within the crater, wildebeest, zebras, gazelles, hyenas, lion pride, black rhinos, large hippo pools, different species of small and large birds, and a crater view.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 : Full day game drive, Tarangire National Park.

Two hours of private drive from Arusha city, you will enter Tarangire NP, where you will spend a couple of minutes for the registration and payment process. After all that the game drive will start up in the mid-afternoon where you will have a short rest for lunch at the picnic site, before continuing with the game drive until earlier evening when you will be exiting the park, driving to the hotel at Karatu town for rest, dinner and overnight.

Accommodation nature: budget lodge/tent camping

Day 2: Full day game drives in Ngorongoro Crater.

From Karatu town, an hour’s drive is the Ngorongoro Conservation area. You will spend a couple of minutes at Ngorongoro’s main entrance gate for some registration and payment process, and then will start the game drive at the rim of the crater before down-sloping to the crater where you will discover the wonderful nature of creation. In the crater you will enjoy seeing different species of birds, hippo pools and a herd of wildebeest, lions, zebras, buffalo, and black rhinos in their natural habitat. During the afternoon hours, you will have lunch at the picnic site near the large hippo pool before continuing with the game drive until late afternoon when you will be exit the park to Karatu town for rest, dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Game drives in Lake Manyara National Park.

A few meters from your hotel at Mto wa Mbu is Lake Manyara National Park. After breakfast at your hotel or at any nearby restaurant you will enter the Park. The same process of registration and payment will follow, and then the game drive starts in the late afternoon when you will be exiting the park back to your hotel in Arusha for rest, dinner, and overnight.
